UTV

A UTV (Utility Task Vehicle) is larger than an ATV and can carry a whole family.
Driving is as easy as driving a car. It’s an open-air vehicle, which makes it so fun to drive.
These UTVs, also known as Gatlinburg side-by-side rentals, refer to the side-by-side seating for passengers.
At Ridge Riders, we only rent UTV vehicles. They are sturdy with more power and better suspension, and built for passengers. They are street-legal for the Gatlinburg roads and all the Smoky Mountains Trails (no off-roading allowed in the area). Our Gatlinburg UTV rentals are ideal for a day of fun with the family.

ATV

An ATV (All-Terrain Vehicle) is a vehicle you are most familiar with and can buy at a regular dealer (like the Honda ATV sport utility). ATVs are built for off-roading are built for one rider.
ATVs are less sturdy and require more experience to drive and navigate. These vehicles are not suitable for most visiting tourists.
In Gatlinburg, ATVs are not an option, as only street-legal, on-road UTV vehicles are permitted.

Street Legal Golf Carts

Cruise around in one of our street-legal golf carts for speeds of up to 35mph. They are so much more fun than a car and so easy to park. A 4 or 6-seater cart is ideal for driving around Gatlinburg to take in all the sights.

Where can I drive the UTV’s?

All of our UTVs are street-legal. You can drive them in Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, and on any of the Smoky Mountain driving trails. There is no OFF-ROADING allowed in the Smoky Mountains.

Are the UTVs difficult to drive?

All UTVs are automatic and easy to drive! If you can drive a car, you can drive a UTV.

Can I bring my pet on my UTV ride?

Yes, pets are allowed, but you are responsible for your vehicle during your rental. We recommend bringing a blanket or two to prevent any damage to the interior of the vehicles.

Who is eligible to drive the UTV?

Drivers must be at least 21 with proof of auto insurance in the driver’s name and have completed our rental agreement before departure.

Where can I park my own vehicle?

We have plenty of parking spaces at our shop, feel free to leave your car here.
